Folks usually reach out to me to ask what I’m excited about working on right now. Right now the plays I’m most excited about are
#NoSabo – Becs is a the top of her career and about to receive a major award on her book about Honduran culture…….only to find out she isn’t Honduran. Not exactly. Now she has to decide how and when to come forward and deal with whatever backlash comes with discovering the truth, even if she’s just discovering it herself.
Mufaro in the City – (Yale Rep Commission) In the play, a Black family tries to convince the patriarch to move out of a condemned building. But he refuses to be forced out. As the play goes on, questions of generational wealth and at what cost do we protect each other become central issues for all of the characters. How do we protect what’s being stolen from us?
